TWO separate tremors jolted two cities in southern Philippines early Saturday, state volcanologists reported.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the first quake occurred at 12:18 a.m. It registered 5.3 in magnitude and its epicenter was traced 76 kilometers southeast of General Santos City.
Meanwhile, a moderate tremor hit Butuan City in Agusan del Norte province at 3:35 a.m., the Phivolcs said.
The magnitude 3.3 temblor was centered 30 kilometers northeast of Butuan City.
It was recorded at Intensity 3 in Butuan City and Cabadbaranan in Agusan del Norte. (Sunnex)
