Police identifies dead teenager

POLICE have identified the girl who was fatally stabbed last week at one of Cagayan de Oro City’s beach resorts.

Joy Cimafranca, 17, was stabbed 23 times allegedly by his companion and left to die at a room inside Furtunato Beach Resort in Barangay Bayabas, Cagayan de Oro City, said crime scene investigator, Senior Police Officer 3 Tony Eblacas.

Cimafranca, a daughter of taxi driver and a reflexologist, is a resident of Upper Zone 2 in Bulua village in Cagayan de Oro City.

The dead body of the victim was found around 2 p.m. on February 18, a day after she and a male companion rented a room at the resort around 10:50 p.m.

The police are looking at the possible involvement of the victim’s male companion in the killing.(Annabelle L. Ricalde)
