Police probe farmer's slay

POLICE are investigating a farmer's killing in Calinan, Davao City on Sunday.

The victim, whose body was found buried near the house of his brother, was identified as Alberto Dulay, 52, resident of Purok 9, Barangay Sirib, Calinan district, Davao City.

PO3 Sulficar Sahidain of the Calinan Police Station, in his spot report, said the victim was found by his son Arturo Dulay around 12 noon Sunday.

According to Sahidain, the victim was buried 110 centimeters deep near the house of his brother Rudy Dulay.

Based on investigation conducted by the Scene of the Crime Operatives (Soco), the victim succumbed to three stab wounds in the chest, three wounds in the neck and two in the right arm.

Meanwhile, the San Pedro Police is investigating the stabbing incident at Duwa, San Rafael, barangay 10-A Poblacion at around 2:25 a.m. Monday.

The victim is identified as Ronald dela Torre, 54, time keeper at a construction site in Duwa and a resident of Buhangin.

PO3 Rodriguez of the San Pedro Police Station said that the victim was found by his co-workers bloodied near the construction site. No other details are available as of this posting.

The victim was brought to the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) while police are conducting further investigation of the incident. (AD)
