‘Probe cases’

Jill Tatoy-Rabor

CHIEF Supt. Noli Taliño received a text message from Senator Panfilo Lacson about an alleged incident of kidnap-extortion in Central Visayas.

The Police Regional Office 7 director told reporters that he requested a report about the alleged “tokhang-for-ransom” case so they can start an investigation.

Taliño said he had not received complaints against the police officers.

The official said if Lacson’s information is true, he will file criminal and administrative charges against the erring cops.

He warned his personnel not to use Oplan Tokhang in extorting money from businessmen and crime syndicates.
