MANILA -- The state weather bureau on Tuesday warned the public, especially those in Western Visayas and Palawan, against possible flashfloods and landslides the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) may bring.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its latest bulletin that the ITCZ is still affecting the country.

With that, "the entire archipelago will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms becoming widespread rains over Palawan and Western Visayas which may trigger landslides and flashfloods."

Pagasa added that light to moderate winds blowing from the southeast will prevail throughout the entire archipelago, and the coastal waters will be slight to moderate except during thunderstorms. (Sunnex)
