Run with Venus to give free health screening

THIS year’s second edition of the Run with Venus will banner health and wellness not just for the participants but as well as for the beneficiaries of the event set on July 20 at the Ayala Terraces.

Dubbed as the “Wellness with Venus: A Charity Run-Zumba-Aero Dance Challenge and Health Screening Event” is organized by the 1989 high school batch of St. Theresa’s College (STC).

The organizing committee encouraged more participants to join the men’s and women’s 1K charity walk, 3K, 6K,12K distances as a registrant will not only get a chance to have a free health screening at the Ayala Terraces but could also sponsor someone from an adopted community to get health screening on a separate date.

“Their participation will also give them a chance to help and support someone avail of a free health screening. Basically, a health screening will range from P3,000 to P8,000. Daku gyud ni og tabang,” said STC batch 1989 representaive Dr. Marivic Tan during yesterday’s press conference at Kublai Khan Ayala Center.

Tan was joined by batchmate Maricel Martinez-Maniquis, Children and Adults in Multitude Of Play Therapy Center (Champ) representative Christine C. Ruedas and race director Joel Baring.

They have four beneficiaries for this year. They are the Gasa Sa Gugma in Pasil Home For The Dying And Destitutes, the Bonita Home for Girls and the Children and Adults in Multitude Of Play Therapy Center (Champ) and the STC Alumni Association.
