TRENDS arise not just in fashion but also in the makeup scene every season. With this in mind, M·A·C Cosmetics starts off the year with a special presentation on Spring/Summer 2017’s honest, modern approach to makeup.

Dubbed M·A·C SS17 Pro Tour, the three-day event from Feb. 6 to 8 took place at Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa in which guests composed of celebrities and media from Cebu and other parts of the country were invited.

During the first night, the official Shadescents ambassadors of M.A.C Philippines were introduced. It had Tessa Prieto-Valdes for Ruby Woo, Stephanie Zubiri-Crespi for Lady Danger, Karylle for Candy Yum-Yum, Bianca Manalo for Velvet Teddy, RB Chanco for My Heroine and Megan Young for Crème de Nude. M·A·C Shadescents is inspired by the brand’s iconic lipstick shades.

The next day, director of makeup artistry, Gregory Arlt discussed the four key Spring/Sumer 2017 trends and demonstrated some tips on how to achieve each trend using some of the brand’s iconic products which were modeled by glambassadors: Stephanie Zubiri-Crespi for the trend Real, an unfiltered, down-to-earth realness trend to makeup; Karylle for the trend Free, a dynamic and graphic trend with a playful approach to makeup; Megan Young for Wet, which is about replicating a radiance coming from within (think hydrated, dewy skin); and last, Bianca Manalo for Warm, a sunned and summery trend inspired by the brighter side of nature.
