Security heads meet on how to secure Visayas

THE 2nd regular meeting of the National Peace and Order Council discussed counter-terrorism and extremism in Marawi with heads of security in the Visayas areas.

Department of Interior and Local Government officer-in-charge Catalino Cuy said the topics focused on how to protect the Visayas from terrorism.

“Presentors discussed the situation on violent extremism in Marawi to give the attendees a general idea how to counter it,” Cuy said.

Police Regional Office 7 Director Noli Taliño said measures to prevent terrorism in Central Visayas were tackled. (JOB)
