Septuagenarian killed while crossing highway in Minglanilla

A 72-YEAR-OLD fish vendor died when she was hit by a van while crossing the national highway in Linaw, Lipata, Minglanilla yesterday morning.

According to SPO2 Oliver Dacua, desk officer of the Minglanilla Police Station, the victim, identified as Cresenciana Repollo, hailed from Tuyon, City of Naga.

She was carrying a pail full of fish when she suddenly crossed the road.

She was hit by a tourist van on its way to the south driven by Gregorio Aton, 56, a resident of Medellin, Cebu.

The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead.

Both families agreed to settle.

The incident was recorded at 6:30 a.m. (JOB)
