SJS-LS 1st Ruby Cup reels off

ST. JOSEPH School-La Salle (formerly St. Joseph’s High School) opens the 20th Inter Class Alumni Bowling Tournament and its 1st RUBY CUP last August 21, 2010 at Lopue’s East Bowling Center.

This bi-annual sports event hosted by the Ruby Jubilarians, the Class ’70 Blue Knights was able to successfully gather 20 teams from different batches.

To make the event more exciting, individual awards and group prizes were given. Earlier in the program, Mr. Anselmo Villanueva, Jr., adviser of Class ’70, conveyed in his inspirational message before the energized crowd ranging from graduates of class ’68 to class 2001.

Mr. Boy Geronca, president of SJS-LS Alumni Association also eagerly announced the proposed project spearheaded by Class ’70 to put an alumni building in the school campus which was greeted with great interest and enthusiasm by all alumni who were present in the event.

Generally, it was a night to remember with all the participating teams and host-Class ’70 making the opening a big success. (Jerome S. Galunan Jr.)
