MANILA -- Tropical storm Basyang forced the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) to reset its scheduled games on Wednesday at the Arena in San Juan.

The league cancelled the ongoing junior's and senior's basketball eliminations due to damage incurred by the passing storm in Metro Manila overnight, including widespread blackouts.

Set to tangle at the 2 p.m. men's basketball match are reigning San Sebastian Stags and College of St. Benilde, which both sport an immaculate 3-0 (win-loss) record.

Meanwhile, the Mapua Cardinals seek its second win in three outings while Emilio Aguinaldo College Chiefs are hoping to barge into the win column in the 4 p.m. match.

The league has yet to release the schedule of the cancelled matches. (Virgil Lopez/Sunnex)
