UNSUALLY strong winds tripped power lines causing power interruption in Davao City twice.

Davao Light and Power Company Vice President for Engineering Engr. Roger Velasco said what happened is beyond the company’s control.

Power interruptions on February 12 occurred first at 10:50 a.m. and restored around 11:00 a.m.

Minutes after, another interruption occurred anew around 11:14 a.m. and ended at 12:42 p.m.

Affected areas include Guerrero, Uyanguren, Jacinto, portion of Claveria, Acacia, Madraso, J.P. Laurel from Gmall up to crossing F. Torres going to Malvar, portion of Monteverde and other nearby areas.

“We apologize for the inconvenience, but rest assured that we are trying our best to restore the power at the earliest possible time,” DLPC Assistant Vice President for Reputation Enhancement Department Ross Luga said. (ASP)
