Sungduan: No Bio, No Boto

Sunnexdesk

AS EARLY as now some voters may already have somebody in mind whom to vote for the 2016 elections since the October 12 start of the filing of Certificate of Candidacies (COCs) of the aspirants for elective post at the Commission on Elections.

To make sure that your right to vote will be recognized, there’s a need to comply with the COMELEC’s requirement to have a biometrics ID so you can cast your vote for the 2016 polls.

The scheduled satellite voter registration and validation activities are part of the continuous effort of COMELEC in line with the No Bio, No Boto campaign. This clearly states that the registered voters including the new voters need to have biometrics ID to be allowed to vote this coming election.

Recently, the SM management and a representative from COMELEC met and discussed the upcoming biometrics registration set on October 19-20 at the 2nd floor of the mall. This is an offshoot of a similar activity held lately following a massive turnout in mall registration with the help of supporters.

The mall biometrics registration is one way of reaching out to the people to make the process more convenient and accessible for them and for the poll body to meet its goal for the said undertaking.

As a citizen of this country, it is our obligation to exercise our privilege to take part in an election. Let your vote be counted by registering for biometrics id.
