MANILA - Taal Volcano has no impending danger of erupting any time soon, the government volcanologists reported.

Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) Director Renato Solidum issued the statement after supposed pictures showing Taal Volcano's crater glowing proliferated in the Internet.

Solidum said that tourists might have snapped shots of people doing "kaingin" or the practice of burning grass and trees in mountains for the purpose of planting new plants.

No warnings have also been reported by Phivolcs contingents along Taal, according to Solidum. (Angela Casauay/Sunnex)
