SUPERINTENDENT Joeresty Coronica, chief of Talisay City Police Station, was relieved from his post effective Friday, June 26.

Senior Superintendent Samuel Nacion, officer-in-charge of Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Noppo), said that two weeks ago, Coronica requested for his relief to prepare for his career advancement course.

He said he already submitted to Mayor Eric Saratan the names of five police officers who will replace Coronica.

While waiting for the results, Superintendent Willy Diel, chief of Noppo Community Relations Branch, was temporarily assigned as officer-in-charge.

He clarified that the relief of Coronica was not related to the crime incidents recorded within his area of jurisdiction. (MAP/Sunnex)
