Taxi driver held up

A 56-year-old taxi driver was held up by his three unidentified passengers Thursday evening along Mansilingan, Bacolod City.

Police Station 7 head Police Inspector Emmanuel Misajon identified the victim as Elves Manueda of City Heights Subd., Taculing, Bacolod City, a driver of SDM Taxi.

Misajon said that the victim was held up by his three unidentified passengers who flagged him at Bangga Regent, Alijis, Bacolod City.

Upon reaching the Home for Blind at Purok Pagla-um, Mansilingan, the passengers declared hold up and forcibly took the driver’s collection of P1,800 in cash.

The complainant added that, when the suspects fled away, one of them stabbed the back tire of his taxi.

Misajon stated that, upon receipt of the said report, his police officers led by PO3 Evanz Diaz, conducted a hot pursuit operation against the suspects but the suspects managed to escape. Misajon added that his office is still conducting an operation for the apprehension of the suspects.
