Thieves victimize 4 persons

THIEVES victimized four persons in separate incidents in the City of Bacolod, the police said.

The victims were identified as Anita Abuana, 58, of Purok Progreso, Barangay Sum-ag; Marilou Canillo, 25, of Purok Neptune, Barangay 35; Jobelle Grace Hofilena, 23, of Villa Angeles, Subdivision, Barangay Estefania; and Alex Calimpon, 40, of Barangay 20, Bacolod City.

The police said that at about 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, while Abuana was on board a public utility jeepney plying the Bata-Libertad route, she discovered that her black wallet, which contained P300, four US dollar, ATM cards, ID's, and important documents was already missing.

On the other hand, Canillo had left her house unattended at about 3 p.m. Sunday and when she returned, she discovered that their black grinder worth P3,500 was already missing.

Hofelina was also hit by thieves at about 1:15 a.m. Sunday. While she was walking along Luzuriaga Street, she discovered that her Sony Ericson mobile phone worth P6,290 placed inside her bag was already missing.

Calimpon, on the other hand, reported that at about 12:45 a.m., he discovered that his Nokia cellular phone placed inside his pocket was already missing.
