Top 7 in drug watchlist shot dead in Cebu City

A MAN who ranked number 7 in the drug watchlist of the Talamban Police Station was shot dead at Purok 3, Barangay San Jose, Cebu City, on Thursday, July 7.

Ed Mayol Borces died after he was shot by a police officer during a drug bust.

Police investigation revealed that Borces drew his gun after he noticed that the buyer was a police officer. He was shot though by another policeman.

The suspect sustained gunshot wounds in his chest, resulting in his death.

One caliber 38. revolver with two live ammunitions and one fired shell, one empty shell of caliber 9mm, one brown sling bag, P3160 cash, one big pack and two small packs of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu, and one white Samsung mobile phone were recovered from the crime scene.

The recovered items were turned over to the Cebu City Police Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit for proper disposition. (Apple Jay P. Ortega PIT intern/Sunnex)
