Torture case hearing to begin today (12:02 p.m.)

POLICE will begin the hearing on the torture case against the head of a Tondo precinct on Friday afternoon.

Senior Inspector Joselito Binayug will face the media for the first time since the torture video in Asuncion community precinct in Tondo was exposed.

Binayug said he is ready to answer the charges against him.

He also denied any knowledge of the torture adding he will face charges against him in proper forum.

Binayug and several of his men have been called to attend the hearing set at 2 p.m. Friday in Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig. (Sunnex)
