MINDANAO Tourism Council president Araceli Lanoy Ayuste was arrested by operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Davao on January 18 for violation of Presidential Decree 957.

The arrest warrant was issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 11.

The operation was conducted around 11 a.m.

Ayuste was arrested in her residence in Lanzona Village, Matina, Davao City, together with Francis Pe Benito, Fritz Pe Benito, and Hazel Ann Pe Benito. Sixto Jimenez is still being pursued.

Ayuste is also the founder of Punta del Sol Properties Corp., which is located at Mezzanine Floor, SO Kim Cheng Bldg., Rosemary St., Agadao, Davao City.
