DANNY Usman clinched the Datba singles tournament title at the NCCC Mall B3 Center lanes over the weekend.

He struck for a total of 795 pinfalls after four games in the event organized by the Davao Tenpin Bowlers Association (Datba), Inc.

Usman bested Manny Nierra and Tessa Dianne Galendez who placed second and third, respectively, in the 24-player field.

Nierra scored 786 while two-time SM Millionaire's Cup champion Galendez garnered 785.

Usman received P900 cash while Nierra and Galendez pocketed P600 and 300, respectively.

The weekly event will determine the bowlers who will make it to the monthly finals. (MLSA)
