MANILA -- Smartmatic Asia Pacific president Cesar Flores explained Tuesday that the wrong configuration of the compact flash (CF) cards was a human error.

During the testing and sealing conducted by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) Monday, around 10,000 machines failed to count the votes correctly because of the CF cards.

Comelec and Smartmatic has already pulled out all the CF cards and will start the delivery of the reconfigurated cards Wednesday night.

Testing and sealing of counting machines will resume Thursday, three days before election day. (Kathrina Alvarez/Sunnex)
