BACOLOD City Water District (Baciwa), Our Lady of Fatima parish churches, and other public and private organizations joined hands to plant more trees at the Upper Caliban-Imbang watershed in Campuestohan, Talisay City last Saturday.

Baciwa general manager Julie Ann Carbon and church representatives led by Fr. Ray Farley Santillan of the Alangilan Parish Church led the environmental activity as their own way of protecting and preserving the environment.

People from the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers and Corazon Locsin Montelibano Regional Hospital also joined in planting around 2,500 endemic species at the highlands of Campuestohan.

Fr. Santillan blessed the seedlings before they were planted at the site.

“As stewards of God's creation, we must do our share to take good care of them,” he said. (Carla N. Cañet)
