What’s in my travel makeup kit

Herty B. Lopez, Astra Zina L. Geverola

AS I write this, I am en route to the U.S. where I will be for the next few weeks. Here’s what I’m taking with me on this trip.

L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara in Black

I opted for this over other mascaras because it lengthens and defines lashes really well, but doesn’t make them feel dry and stiff like other mascaras can. Autumn can be really dry so I’m trying to avoid making it worse with any products I’m bringing.

H&M Beauty Colour Essence eyeliner

I have a full blog post on how pigmented, creamy, and budge-proof these eyeliners are. I bought mine overseas, but it might already be available locally now that H&M Beauty has arrived in Cebu.

Sleek Contour Kit

This is a great little palette for highlight and contour. It’s compact but not too small that you’d struggle to swirl your brush in it. Sleek face products are well pigmented and smooth, so are easy to apply in a rush.

NYX Cosmetics Lid Lingerie

I haven’t opened this yet but read good reviews. I wanted to bring a cream eyeshadow that can work well on its own or as a base under powder shadows.

Wet n Wild Megalast lipstick in Sand Storm

A darker nude lipstick since I can’t pull off pale nudes. The other lippie I’ve brought is L’Oreal Rouge Veloute, a bold berry shade. We can’t bring our entire lipstick wardrobe when traveling, so different colors will have to do! I tend to bring products, especially lipsticks, that are affordable and easy to replace in case they get lost on the trip.
