Taking JFT-Basic instead of JLPT

Sunnexdesk

UNFORTUNATELY, the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) has been canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. However, for those who have been preparing for the JLPT, it is still possible to take the JFT-Basic.

The JFT-Basic uses computers to administer its tests. The test center also properly observes social distancing and other coronavirus preventive measures. For more details on the test, one can check the test questions on the JFT-Basic webpage: https://www.jpf.go.jp/jft-basic/sample/q01.html.

The JFT-Basic is held six times a year. Generally, registration begins in even-numbered months (February, April, June and so on) and the test begins in odd-numbered months (March, May, July and so on). Those who register as a group or organization must do so at least 15 days before their preferred test days, while those who register individually must register at least three days before their test. For more details, one can check the JFT-Basic official website at https://www.jpf.go.jp/jft-basic/e/index.html.

Registration for the September-October exams began on Aug. 20. There will also be exams in November. SPONSORED CONTENT
