ABOUT 5,000 delegates from different cities and municipalities in Negros Occidental are expected to participate in the simultaneous federalism rally and caravan on June 2 to 3 at Isabela town.

Mayor Joselito Malabor said Monday, May 21, that there will also be delegates from Canlaon City in Negros Oriental.

Delegates from the municipalities of Calatrava and Toboso will also hold a caravan.

Those who will join the caravan will wear white shirts.

A short program will be held 2 p.m.

"We will be distributing information and education campaign materials from the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) throughout the Philippines," Malabor said.

Two districts in the province have already endorsed federalism.

Malabor said the main objective of the activity is "to educate the people and strengthen the advocacy for federalism in the province."

This is also the advocacy of our president," he added. (GYM)
