Clark earmarks P652,000 for Mabalacat school fence

Reynaldo G. Navales

THE Clark Development Corporation (CDC) has allotted P652,000 for the construction of a 170-linear meter fence around the Mabalacat Technical Vocational School (MTVS).

The project is part of CDC's corporate social responsibility (CSR) program for local communities.

CDC President Noel F. Manankil and MTVS Officer-in-Charge Ariel M. Calma led the signing of a memorandum of agreement for the implementation of the project.

MTVS is the only technical vocational school that caters to students from Indigenous Peoples communities such as Macapagal Village, Marcos Village, Kalapi, Sitio Haduan, Monicayo and San Martin.

The school focuses on electronics, information communication technology, garments and food trade. A total of 2,520 Aetas have graduated from the school.

Manankil said the state-owned firm is committed to support the Aeta students and communities near MTVS.

“We are very happy that there is a technical vocational school which caters to our brother Aetas. This is one sector that we have been trying to support. We would like to engage you more for our other programs and we would see more of you. Thank you for being with us today and we are very excited to partner with a neighbor,” Manankil said.

Calma thanked the state-owned firm for choosing their school to be their beneficiary for the said project.
