TO PROPERLY and quickly address public queries about Covid-19, the City of San Fernando is set to launch a Covid-19 hotline to be managed by the Crisis Communication Cluster of the San Fernando's Task Force Against Covid-19.

In support of this effort, digital solutions provider PLDT Inc. (PLDT) and its wireless subsidiary, Smart Communications Inc., provided two Samsung A01, two Smart Prepaid SIM, and 100,000 blast text messages for free to beef up the city hall's hotline facility.

Kimberly David, relationship manager of PLDT/Smart Enterprise, said the private companies are committed to help and support the initiatives of the City especially in providing better connectivity and reach to Fernandinos.

According to Abigail David, City Information officer, the establishment of the Crisis Communication Cluster and the partnership with the private company would help the city respond faster and better to the queries and concerns of the public.

"We created the cluster to maximize and use all platforms available para ma-disseminate lahat ng information na kailangang maipa-abot sa publiko. Para kahit yung mga Fernandinos na nasa remote areas and walang access sa other media platforms ay mabigyan din natin ng mga mahahalagang impormasyon through blast text messages na ipo-provide ng ating partners," David said.
