MORE than a hundred individuals from Pampanga were arrested by local authorities for allegedly violating minimum health protocols.

Pampanga Police Provincial Office Director Colonel Arnold Ibay said 65 persons from the City of San Fernando and 51 from Mexico town were collared for non-observance of Executive Order 17-2021, which was issued by Governor Dennis Pineda.

Ibay said most of the violators were arrested due to failure to wear face masks while in public places, which is prohibited under the said EO.

Those who were caught for the first time were given warning, while those who had past records will be charged, added Ibay.

He said they are strictly implementing the quarantine protocols to curb the spread of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in the community.

He reminded Kapampangans to observe the said measures to protect themselves and their families from the disease, especially with the more contagious Delta variant.
