13 Masantol villages flooded

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO The weekend monsoon rains and the Low-Pressure Area affecting the northeast section of the country had brought floodwaters to 13 barangays in Masantol town, according to the August 6 report of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council .

Floodings were recorded in Barangays Santo Nino, Santa Lucia Anac, Santa Lucia Matua, San Isidro Anac, San Nicolas, Sta. Lucia Paguiaba, Santa Lucia Wakas, Bebe Anac Sua, Palimpe, San Pedro, and Bulacus.

Floodwater was recorded as high as 1.5 feet in some areas.

The Low-Pressure Area was estimated at 140 km North Northwest of Dagupan City, Pangasinan (17.2°N, 119.7°E).

Southwest Monsoon affects Southern Luzon and the Visayas and has been contributing to the rainy weather in most of Pampanga.
