19 villages in Pampanga flooded

THREE municipalities from the Pampanga's Fourth District were experiencing flooding as of Saturday evening, September 11, 2021, due to rains brought about by Typhoon Jolina and southwest monsoon, and enhanced by Typhoon Kiko.

Based on the report of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), 19 villages from Candaba, San Simon and Macabebe were already flooded.

Barangay San Agustin in Candaba town was the most affected as flooding reached as high as nine feet. It was also the only village in Candaba that was flooded.

Meanwhile, 17 barangays in Macabebe and one barangay in San Simon were also flooded by up to three feet.

In the report, PDRRMO noted that some 1,106 families or 5,942 individuals in the province were already affected by flooding.

From the said numbers, 1,104 families or 5,931 individuals were from Candaba town, while two families or 11 persons were from Macabebe.
