2 Porac town hall workers arrested for illegal drugs

TWO employees of the local government unit in Porac were arrested by policemen for allegedly engaging in the illegal drugs trade.

The town police identified the suspects as Jerome Mallari, 30, of Purok 1 Barangay Pulung Santol, and Angelito Lansang, 55, of Model Community, Pio.

Colonel Arnold Thomas Ibay, Pampanga police director, said joint operatives of the local police Drug Enforcement Unit and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Central Luzon conducted the buy-bust operation in Barangay Jalung, Porac that led to the arrest of the suspects tagged as high-value targets.

Mallari and Lansang reportedly yielded six sachets of shabu worth P24,400 and the marked money after the operation.

Police seized a van with markings Municipality of Porac Ambulance and a motorcycle used by the suspects in their alleged drugs trade.

The suspects were detained at the Porac Police Station and charged with drug pushing.

Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit. The Province, which runs both terminals, maintains that it operates the facilities as a public service for passengers going to the province and vice versa. /
