DESPITE the improving weather condition in the past few days, several families from Macabebe town, Pampanga are still in evacuation centers as of Saturday evening, September 18, 2021.

Based on the report of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), some 24 families or 79 individuals are staying in four different evacuation centers as their houses are still submerged.

The PDRMMO reported that evacuated families reside in Barangays Sta. Lutgarda, Sta. Cruz, San Vicente and Sto. Rosario, which are among the total 20 villages in this town that were still submerged in floodwaters.

Aside from Macabebe town, some areas of Apalit, Candaba, San Simon and Masantol were still underwater.

Portions of major thoroughfares like Apalit-Macabebe-Masantol road; San Simon-Baliwag road; and Candaba-San Miguel road also remained hardly passable to light vehicles due to flooding.

The Minalin-Macabebe section of the Sto. Tomas-Minalin road is not yet passable to light vehicles.
