26 Kapampangan seniors get P2.6M

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO The provincial government of Pampanga, headed by Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, distributed P2.6 million in assistance to Kapampangans aged 95-year-old and above.

The distribution of aid to the elderly was made during a ceremony at the Benigno Hall, Capitol Compound, on Monday, March 27.

A total of 26 senior citizens were given P100,000 each.

The assistance is part of the one-time cash incentive program of the Pineda administration for Kapampangans aged 95 years old and above to recognize their contributions to the community.

The beneficiaries include senior citizens from the towns of Mabalacat (1), Floridablanca (1), Porac (2), Sta Rita (1), Arayat (1), Bacolor (1), Mexico (1), Apalit (6), Candaba (4), Masantol (1), Minalin (1), San Luis (1), and City of San Fernando (5).

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit. The Province, which runs both terminals, maintains that it operates the facilities as a public service for passengers going to the province and vice versa. /
