274 Covid-19 deaths in Central Luzon as cases continue to rise

CORONAVIRUS disease (Covid-19) cases in Central Luzon continue to increase, as the region has recorded 10,820 confirmed cases with at least 274 deaths, as of September 23.

Data from the Department of Health (DOH) showed that out of 10,820 confirmed cases, 1,256 are still admitted to various health and isolation facilities in the region.

About 3,298 of the number have been released to continue the 14-day required isolation at home.

The DOH said that some 5,992 have already recovered.

Bulacan remains at the top of the list of provinces with the most number of confirmed infections at 4,917 cases, as of September 24, with 139 deaths.

Bataan currently has 1, 93 cases, while Pampanga has overtaken Bataan at 2,124 confirmed cases. Bataan deaths are currently at 28, while Pampanga registered 49 deaths.

Nueva Ecija also recorded 564 cases as of press time. Tarlac has the least number of cases at 390 with Zambales at 746.
