300 Masantol students get cash aid

HUNDREDS of college students from Masantol town, Pampanga recently received assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

Mayor Danilo Guintu and Board Member Pol Balingit led the distribution of financial aid to some 300 college students from the 26 barangays in town.

Guintu said each student received P3,000 as aid in their school payments and other expenses they have for schooling.

In his message, Guintu reminded students to study well and seize the opportunity given to them to finish their studies.

"We know and understand that going to school is not as easy as it sound and there are a lot of distractions but try harder still. We, at the government, are already doing are part so we hope you also do yours," he said.

Balingit, for his part, told students that their, together with Fourth District Representative Juan Pablo Bondoc, doors are always open for necessary assistance needed by students.

"Do not be shy or afraid to ask for help. We share the same dream of sending you to school and we will provide whatever we can to achieve our dream," he said.
