32 nabbed for illegal gambling

THIRTY-TWO individuals were arrested by police authorities during separate anti-illegal gambling operations launched region-wide on over the weekend.

In Angeles City, four were arrested for playing Lucky 9 while two others were collared for playing Cara y Cruz.

Two persons were also nabbed in Bagac, Bataan for playing Mahjong, while ten were arrested in Tarlac for playing various card games.

Bulacan cops likewise net nine individuals for participating in billards pokers, while another resident for involvement in bookies, and three others for playing Cara y Cruz, and another three persons for playing tong-its.

Total evidence seized were six sets of playing cards, one set of Spanish playing, one set of Billiard balls, one billiard ball guide, five Billiard cues, one cue guide, one lengthwise combined papers (papelitos) with imprint Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) and P9,943 bet money.

Appropriate charges for Violation of P.D.1602 as amended by R.A. 9287 are being prepared against the arrested persons.
