RESIDENTS of four towns in Pampanga are being asked to prepare for an eleven-hour power interruption on Saturday to pave the way for maintenance works on some power lines.

The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines announced through Regional Communications head Ernest Vidal that it will conduct its regular preventive and corrective line works along the Mexico-Calumpit 69kV line.

Likewise, the Pampanga III Electric Cooperative will energize two new sets of printed circuit boards at Balite Substation as replacement of power fuses for the two 10-MVA power transformers.

Due to the said activities, the municipalities of Apalit, Macabebe and Masantol, and a portion of San Simon (Barangay San Agustin) will be experiencing power interruption from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The rest of San Simon, and towns of Minalin and Sto. Tomas, meanwhile, will have power interruption from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m., and again at 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
