CAMP OLIVAS -- About 400 police personnel were deployed as perimeter security, as Japan repatriates arrived at the Athletes' Village in New Clark City, Capas, Tarlac for a 14-day quarantine.

Police Regional Office (PRO)-Central Luzon Director Rhodel Sermonia said the Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel wearing protective masks were already securing the quarantine area starting Monday night, February 24.

Sermonia added that the PNP-PRO-Central Luzon is always ready to help during a health crisis and would always abide to orders but will only act depending on the disposition of the Department of Health.

He also said that all deployed personnel were instructed to observe maximum tolerance while being alert and vigilant to ensure public order and safety, and prevent criminal elements from taking advantage of the situation. (PR)
