421 Central Luzon cops get Covid-19

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Some 421 personnel of Police Regional Office (PRO)-Central Luzon were infected by the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) since the start of the pandemic.

Based on the report of PRO-Central Luzon Health Services over the weekend, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases among uniformed and non-uniformed personnel have reached 421.

From the said number, only four are currently active while 417 have already recovered, and with zero fatality.

PRO-Central Luzon Director Brigadier General Valeriano De Leon said the policemen in the region are always reminded to observe minimum health standards as much as possible.

"We recognize the bravery of our policemen in risking their health to perform their duty amid the threat of Covid-19 but we always remind them to also ensure their safety by practicing the minimum health standards," he said.
