5 minors nabbed for robbery

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO - Five minors were arrested by the local police on Tuesday after allegedly robbing public schools in San Jose City, Nueva Ecija.

Authorities said the suspects forcibly entered the different classrooms of Sto. Niño 3rd Elementary School and Sto. Niño 3rd National High School.

They carted away a laptop worth P79,000, cash money amounting to P14,200, and elementary school canteen sales amounting to around P700.

A follow-up investigation was conducted by the San Jose police where a review of the CCTV footage and immediate coordination with Carranglan police led to the identification and arrest of the minor suspects.

They were identified as alias “Carlo”, 15; alias “John”, 17; alias “Topher”, 17; alias “Joel", 15 and alias “Roy”, 17 years old.

All of the kids are residents of Carranglan, Nueva Ecija.

Criminal complaints for Robbery with Force Upon Things were already prepared for court referral.

The minor suspects were turned over to the local Department of Social Welfare and Development for custody.
