5 nabbed in Angeles drug bust

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Five suspected drug personalities were arrested by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Central Luzon during a recent drug bust in Angeles City.

In a report submitted to PDEA Director General Aaron Aquino, PDEA-Central Luzon Director Gil T. Pabilona identified the suspects as Arjen V. Valencia, 31; Ernesto P. Supan, 51; Roel B. Supan, 26; Jackilyn N. Maniego, 31; and Blanca Mae M. Sarmiento, 22, all residents of Angeles City.

Pabilon added that PDEA agents also managed to dismantle a drug den situated in a residential area in Purok 7, Barangay Capay II.

The regional director said the operation emanated from a confidential informant residing in the village.

Seized from the suspects were three sachets of substance believed to be shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) with estimated weight of 10 grams and street value of P68,000, various drug paraphernalia and buy-bust money.

Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit. The Province, which runs both terminals, maintains that it operates the facilities as a public service for passengers going to the province and vice versa. /
