5,014 Covid deaths in Central Luzon; 2,144 new active cases

THE total number of deaths from the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) since the start of the pandemic has risen to 5,014, as more confirmed cases were recorded from different provinces of Central Luzon.

For September 28 alone, 2,144 new confirmed cases were recorded.

Some 196 people have died from the disease in the whole of Central Luzon in the last 14 days. Most of these deaths came from Pampanga with 62 recorded deaths in the last 14 days, followed by Bulacan (44), Nueva Ecija (45), Tarlac (22) and Bataan (13), which all recorded significant deaths in the last 14-day period.

This brought the total number of confirmed cases to 249,883 cases. From these numbers, 227,092 have since recovered, but 17,777 active cases still remain as of Monday, September 27.

Central Luzon has recorded 22,626 new cases in the last 14 days. Most of these new cases are from Bulacan (7,954), Pampanga (4, 76), Bataan (2,162) Nueva Ecija (2,947) and Tarlac (2,277).
