6,600 Apaliteños fully vaccinated

MORE than 6,600 residents of Apalit town have completed their immunization against the coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

Based on the local government's Friday report, August 6, some 6,663 eligible residents have received their complete doses of vaccines.

Also, 5,523 residents have received their first jab and are just waiting for their schedule to receive full vaccination.

Mayor Oscar Tetangco Jr. continued to urge Apaliteños to protect themselves from the virus by getting vaccinated.

"Our first line of defense is to wear face mask, face shield, observe social distancing and practice proper hygiene but our strongest armor against Covid-19 are the vaccines so let us get jabbed," he said.

Residents of Apalit who want to get vaccinated may register through the online survey form available at the local government's official Facebook page.

Meanwhile, the local government also reported that the confirmed Covid-19 cases in the town have already reached 1,093 as of Monday, August 9.

From the number, 140 were considered active cases, while 875 patients have already recovered and 78 died.
