8 fall in Angeles drug den sting

ANGELES CITY -- Eight drug suspects, including a Malaysian national, were arrested and some P102,000 worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu was seized by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Cental Luzon on Thursday, October 14, at Barangay Sto. Niño, Balibago here.

PDEA officials identified the arrested suspects as Stephanie Emaas alias "Tisay," 31, from Sto. Niño, Balibago, Angeles City; Jordan Dela Cruz, 30, from San Jose St., Pandan, Angeles City; and Milanio Leyva, 57, from Purok 15, Bagong Silang, Balibago, Angeles City.

The other suspects are Misa Asen, 45, a Malaysian national from A. Santos St. Balibago, Angeles City; Edmundo Monzor, 62, from Sto. Niño St., Balibago, Angeles City; Mark Anthony Pasukin, 31, from Malabañas, Angeles City; Jonel Salvador, 30, from Villasol, Angeles City; and Aurelio Naigui y Ibañez, 60, from Sto. Niño, Balibago, Angeles City.

PDEA officials said that the operation emanated from information given by a concerned citizen.

The entrapment operation yielded some 15 grams of shabu with an estimated total street price of P102,000, assorted drug paraphernalia and the buy-bust money.

Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the arrested suspects.
