98% of Covid-19 patients in Central Luzon show mild symptoms

MOST of the patients currently infected by coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in Central Luzon are manifesting only mild symptoms of the disease, data from the Department of Health (DOH)-Central Luzon showed.

On its bulletin Friday, August 20, 2021, DOH-Central Luzon reported that 14,884 active Covid-19 patients in the region are considered mildly asymptomatic.

This is equivalent to some 98 percent of the total 15,187 active Covid-19 cases reported in Central Luzon.

Meanwhile, only 91 patients or 0.60 percent of the total cases were asymptomatic, 97 patients or 0.64 percent were moderately symptomatic, 90 patients or 0.60 percent were in severe condition, and 24 patients or 0.16 percent were in critical condition.

As of Friday, DOH-Central Luzon reported there were a total of 169,008 confirmed Covid-19 cases in Central Luzon, 149,770 of which were tagged as recoveries and 4,051 as mortalities.
