AS THE month of February ended, the number of active coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in Apalit town in Pampanga is down to eight, the local government reported.

On Sunday alone, February 28, three recoveries were reported in town, all of which were from Barangay Capalangan.

It is the first time since December 10 that the number of active cases in the town had reached lower than 10.

It could be remembered that the municipality recorded a surge of cases since the holiday season in December, in which active cases barely went down to 20.

As of Sunday, the total number of confirmed cases in the town was 274, of which 250 recovered and 16 passed away.

The municipality has the highest number of confirmed cases in the province's fourth district, followed by Minalin and Macabebe.
