Active Covid-19 cases in Central Luzon drop

THE number of active coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in Central Luzon has dropped below one percent of the total confirmed cases.

As of Tuesday, November 23, the Department of Health-Central Luzon reported that the number of active Covid-19 in the region was at 1,853.

This is equivalent to only 0.7 percent of the total 280,943 confirmed cases reported since the start of the pandemic.

Of the seven provinces in the region, Bulacan had the highest number of active Covid-19 cases with 758, followed by Pampanga, including Angeles City, with 301, and Nueva Ecija with 246.

Tarlac also recorded 240 active cases, while Bataan had 201, Zambales, including Olongapo City, had 106, and Aurora had 11.

Meanwhile, 97.2 percent of the total cases, or 273,096 persons from Central Luzon have recovered from Covid-19, while 2.1 percent or 5,994 persons died.
