Agri damages jump to 173M

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO The cost of agriculture crops that were destroyed by the recent downpour of rains in Pampanga rose to over 170-million as of yesterday noon.

Five municipalities namely Sta. Ana, San Luis, Candaba, Apalit and Mexico in the province logged damages to its rice crops.

Sta. Ana towns reported damages to rice crops amounting to 150,792; while San Luis had 1,814,491.20; and Candaba had 150,079,287.75.

The amount of damages to rice crops logged by Apalit town rose to 21,392,568; while Mexico town had 324,202.80 worth of damages.

Meanwhile, Barangay San Agustin in Candaba was still submerged up to seven feet of floodwaters as of yesterday noon.
