Agriculture chief to keynote PSAU anniversary

AGRICULTURE Secretary William Dar will keynote Friday, January 24, Pampanga State Agriculture University’s (PSAU) fifth year anniversary as a state agriculture university.

Dar is also expected to lead the launching of a young agripreneurship loan program as well as a micro and small agripreneurship” loan program.

The event will also feature the inauguration of Department of Agriculture’s (DA) Bureau of Agricultural Research program entitled “BAI-PSAU Collaborative Program on Beef Cattle for Adopt Barangay Extension Modalities in Pampanga” at Bren Z. Guiao Multipurpose Center of the university in the City of San Fernando.

The program aims to improve cattle production programs in the barangay level through assisted programs through PSAU and the Bureau of Animal Industry.

The anniversary program aims to highlight PSAU’s programs and partnerships with the DA.

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit. The Province, which runs both terminals, maintains that it operates the facilities as a public service for passengers going to the province and vice versa. /
